The gifts have reached their destinations! Appreciation and joy on the faces of the children from the Chilik city orphanage and the children supervised by the charity foundation, “Pravo na Luybov” is the best reward for us! Thanks to our students and their parents, who annually take part in the New Year charitable events, for their mercy and care! Happy New Year 2021! May all children be happy!

On Tuesday, December 15th, all gifts were given to the representatives from charity foundation “Right for the love” and representatives from orphanage of Chilik city.

Thanks to everyone who have been supporting the ‘New Year Charity Actions”. 

In addition, students and parents of the 6А class provided material assistance to a student of gymnasium #60, Ivanova Anya, a brave girl who is trying to defeat a terrible disease. This time, the help of parents of the 6A grade amounted to 376 thousand tenge!

New Year’s charitable actions

On the basis of long-term cooperation with the charitable foundations, “Ayala” and “Pravo na Luybov” from December 7 to 14, our school hosts traditional charity events, “Give warmth”, “Let’s play together!” and “Pampers Drive”.

On December 15, all collected funds, board games, books, toys, warm clothes and hygiene items for babies will be handed to the representatives of the charitable foundations.

On 29 May Miras International School Student Council held a charity action. The action was organized for the children of Orphanage Solnyshko. 

Our students decided to please the children with gifts on June 1 - Children’s Day.

We would like to thank the parents, students, graduates and teachers who have participated in the action - From Heart to Heart!

Books, toys, and children’s clothes will be given to the orphans.

Also, we would like to mention one more action which has been organized by the Student Council - the action aimed to help Ivanova Anya. As you may remember, the Student Council organized an art exhibition by Anya. Unfortunately, due to the quarantine, the Student Council was not able to hold it in Essentai Mall and Mega Center as it had been scheduled. However, our students managed to arrange an art exhibition by Anya in our school. As a result of the exhibition, there was fundraised 30 500 tenge which was given to Anya’s family.

Anya’s mother has written as follows: “Hello everyone! Thanks a lot to Miras community. I am thankful to the children for their charity action! You have helped us a lot! May God protect you and your families! May kindness return to you by a thousand times.”

Today we live in a peaceful time. We have lots of fantastic opportunities to make our lives the way we want them to see. Everyone can get educated and find a job to their liking. We can breathe freely and be proud of our country. All this is possible only thanks to the Great Victory which was gained by our people in the Great Patriotic War in 1945.

For three weeks the entire school community participated in challenges, events and promotions dedicated to this bright and significant event.

The students recited poems about the war, spoke about their relatives who fought at the frontline and worked on the home front; high school students took part in the Eighth Republican History and Literature competition - "A Letter from the Frontline."

Teachers, students, and graduates of our school initiated and supported The Songs of the Wartime Marathon. We were joined by Miras International School and Miras Kindergarten in Nur-Sultan, Kindergarten in Atyrau, Arystan Specialized Lyceum, and ISA. We are so grateful to everyone who participated in this project!

The action was organized by the leader of the Charity Committee of the School Student Council, Amalia Lee, a student of 10D.

Annually we invite children of Children’s Home #1, Boarding School for Visually and Hearing Impaired, and Boarding School #2 (ICP) for Nauryz celebration. During the celebration students and parents give the guests presents collected as a result of the charity week. Usually these include toys, board fames, sports equipment.

The parents and students have organized some charity actions this year willing to continue our school tradition. However, due to the quarantine the presentation of the gifts has been postponed until summer.

Nevertheless, the Student Council decided to support Ivanova Anya, whom we have known for over three years, in that difficult time. The initiative group has made an informative video about her for the school community.

Some caring students and parents brought Anya confidence and happiness in the future, which everyone expects in spring.

Special thanks goes to our PTA chair Kubasheva Zhibek Abdikadyrovna. Her family has always supported Anya.

It has been almost two years since we met Sergey Snegirev and his dog shelter called Comes. Miras students arrange thematic fairs to help with such noble work. During our visit there, we saw how much Sergey loves his dogs and how happy they are when they see their savior. If only all people were as responsible towards animals as he is, the world would be kinder, purer and happier.

On 6 March our school hosted two charity actions as a part of International Women’s Day celebration.

Children’s clothes have been given to large and low-income families of Almaty City, and a charity artwork exhibition by Ivanova Anya, a student of gymnasium #60, who is suffering from a serious illness - acute myeloid leukemia, organized. For four years our school has been providing material assistance to this girl. Having learnt that the girl can draw well, our Secondary School Student Council offered organizing a charity artwork exhibition by the girl. All funds raised as a result of this exhibition will be given to Anya.
