School mission and philosophy
Our mission
Miras International School Almaty provides high quality education based on integrated Kazakhstani and International Standards in a multilingual environment devoted to empowering every student to become an internationally minded life-long learner with a shared responsibility for the Globe.
Our philosophy
At Miras International School Almaty, we believe that education should be meaningful, relevant, and connected to real life. Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student has unique potential and deserves an engaging, supportive, and challenging learning environment that nurtures intellectual, personal, social, and emotional growth.
We are committed to developing students who are caring, knowledgeable, reflective, and internationally minded, equipped with the skills, attitudes, and values necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through the integration of Kazakhstani educational standards and International Baccalaureate (IB) frameworks, we foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and responsible global citizenship.
Our educational approach recognizes the importance of:
- Student well-being and holistic development — intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and ethical
- High-quality teaching and learning tailored to individual strengths and needs
- Inclusive and innovative educational practices supported by modern technologies and effective assessment
- A challenging and engaging curriculum that encourages inquiry, independence, and lifelong learning
- Strong community partnerships among students, families, teachers, and the wider community
- Respect for diversity, languages, cultures, and human rights in a multilingual and international environment
At Miras, we believe that education is a shared responsibility. Through collaboration between students, parents, and educators, we create a safe and inspiring learning environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential and make meaningful contributions to both local and global communities.
