Elected Student Voice, Leadership, and Action
The Student Council at Miras International School is an active and important part of the school community that empowers students to develop leadership skills, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to school life.
The Council represents the voice of students, promotes collaboration between students and teachers, and helps create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Mission and purpose
The Student Council aims to:
- Support student initiatives and creative ideas
- Strengthen communication between students, teachers, and school leadership
- Encourage responsibility, leadership, and international-mindedness
- Unite local and international students within one school community
- Contribute to the wellbeing and development of the school environment
The Council encourages students to become active and responsible members of the community who are ready to make a positive difference.
The Student Council includes:
Student Council Board
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary/Treasurer
Class Representatives
Representatives from Grades 3–12 work closely with their classmates, gather ideas and suggestions, and participate in school committees and initiatives.
Activities and projects
The Student Council organizes and supports a wide range of school initiatives, including:
- Charity and fundraising events
- School spirit activities
- Student-led campaigns and projects
- Cultural and community events
- Awareness initiatives
- Leadership and service-learning activities
Student voice plays an important role in school improvement, and Council members actively contribute ideas that strengthen the school community.
