Inquiry-Based and Multilingual Learning
Inquiry-based learning is central to the student experience at Miras. Students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas independently and collaboratively, and apply knowledge in meaningful contexts rather than simply memorizing information. This approach helps learners become curious, reflective, and self-directed individuals.
Miras also provides a multilingual learning environment, where Kazakh, English and Russian, play an important role in students’ academic and personal development. Additional languages, including French and Spanish (in the Diploma Programme), further strengthen intercultural understanding and global communication skills.

Primary Years Programme (PYP)
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) supports students from Early Years through Grade 4, developing curiosity, foundational knowledge, communication skills, and a love of learning through inquiry-based education.
Secondary School · IB MYP
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), implemented in Grades 5–10, provides a broad and balanced education that develops conceptual understanding, critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness.
Grade 11 · National Programme
Grade 11 Kazakhstan National Programme
Following Grade 10, students may continue through the Kazakhstan National Curriculum pathway, which combines national educational standards with international approaches to learning and university preparation.
High School · IB DP
IB Diploma Programme (DP)
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous pre-university programme that prepares students for admission to leading universities worldwide through advanced academic study, independent research, and holistic development.
